The Fête des Récoltes at Jean-Talon Market
The Montreal Public Markets have been organizing major celebrations during the month of September to mark the harvest season and highlight the hard work of food artisan and farmers. The harvest fest is a way to discover and taste the distinctive local and regional products that define our culinary and gastronomic heritage.
In 2024, you’ll find us at all of Montreal’s public markets on September 7 and 8. On the menu: corn roast, games, quizzes and a lot of fun.
The Jean-Talon Market invites you to celebrate this unique time of year, the harvest season, with “La Fête des Récoltes” on September 9 from 10am to 5pm.
On the program: a host of activities featuring delicious local produce will appeal to visitors and families alike. Culinary demonstrations by local experts will introduce you to a wealth of topics, products and recipes, a corn roast party will showcase the most delicious corn, quizzes and rallies will take you around the market asking you questions about the fruits and vegetables of the harvest, and family and musical entertainment will enliven this unique event.
