Christmas Village – Atwater Market

Montreal, December 2nd, 2021 – Last weekend, the public had its first chance to explore the Christmas Village at Atwater Market. In addition to the now traditional arch and wood cabins, the Royaume des Lutins is back with its yurt and miniature village. New this year, the Royaume now has a movie-sleigh open to everyone, where puppet shows and movie projections will take place. Everything is in place for families to share some magical moments. Among the 53 exhibitors offerings: gourmet products, natural cosmetics, soy-based candles, essential oils, soaps, jewellery and decorative objects by local artisans. A wealth of stocking-stuffers!

La Relève Girard with its maple products, Le Chalet Savoyard with its raclette sandwich and the famous poutines of La Baraque à frites are also back – perfect winter comfort food. La Taverne features treats to satisfy your sweet tooth, rich hot chocolate and, new this year, irresistible mulled wine with cinnamon.

Themed gourmet evenings take place every Friday evening, from 5 to 10 p.m. On the agenda for December 3rd : Christmas in Alsace, featuring the traditional sauerkraut! Next week, it will be an exotic evening with the theme “Christmas in the sun”, then finally “Christmas in the cabin” the week after. Access only on reservation and proof of covid-19 vaccination will be required for these activities.

Santa Claus will visit on December 19, during the Bal des Lutins, the closing event for the 5th edition of the Christmas Village at Atwater Market. There will be fun activities for children and free waffles! Proof of covid-19 vaccination will be required for this activity.
