Market basket delivery now available at Atwater Market
Montreal, July 22th – Montreal’s Public markets are launching the market’s basket delivery service to Atwater Market : different baskets of selected products to be ordered online and delivered right to the customer’s door. This service is made possible thanks to a partnership with start-up Panier Québécois, who already manages the service at Jean-Talon Market. Starting today, the public can order their favourite products from Atwater Market via https://www.marchespublics-mtl.com/en/marchands/markets-basket/.
“With more than 4000 baskets and 700 customers since the beginning of the service, we are happy to bring it to Atwater Market today and aim to introduce it to other markets soon” said Nicolas Fabien-Ouellet, interim executive director of the Corporation de gestion des marchés publics de Montréal.
Easy delivery for merchants and customers
The idea is simple: each Thursday, the week’s baskets (fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, etc.) are announced and made available to order, following the latest harvests. Customers can order as many as they wish, and receive them in 2 days. On delivery day, baskets are assembled and packaged then delivered, whenever possible by bicycle. Because the entire process takes just a few hours, customers enjoy the market-fresh produces they are accustomed to buying at the city’s public markets.
