Quail with maple syrup and balsamic vinegar

Ingredients

- 6 quails
1 large onion, chopped
marinade
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp fine balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
Preparation
- Set aside 4 tbsp. olive oil and the chopped onion.
- Place the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Marinate the quails for 40 minutes, turning them every 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In an ovenproof frying pan, sauté the onion in 4 tablespoons of oil.
- Add the quails and brown on all sides.
- Stir in the marinade and cook in the oven, uncovered, for 45 minutes, and you're done!
