Since 2022, the Montreal Public Markets have been organizing major festivities during the month of October to celebrate Oktoberfest, showcase the expertise of local microbreweries and say “see you next year” to the summer season.

We can’t wait to welcome you back in 2025 to fill up on beer and make full of discoveries. In the meantime, here’s a look back at the 2024 edition.

A look back at the previous event

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Marché Maisonneuve invites you to its very first Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 12! Come and discover more than 100 craft beers in a festive musical atmosphere, with the added bonus of an autumn market atmosphere that’s well worth the detour. Tastings, a restaurant zone and games for all ages also await you.

The event is free, and tasting glasses will be available at the event booth for $3.50. Microbreweries will be offering a uniform rate for tastings at $4 for 5 oz and $7 for 10 oz (payment by card only).

At Maisonneuve Market – Oktoberfest will provide the opportunity to sample well-known classics such as Pilsners, India Pale Ales, Stouts, Lagers and Porters as well as exciting new beers. 

One thing’s for sure: there’s no shortage of craft beer options brewed and developed by local microbreweries. Enjoy them in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere!

Plus, our DJs and chansonniers will be on hand to set the mood!

• Dan Livingstone – Saturday , 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: this Montreal band will offer a folk and country-style performance.
• Alexandre Légaré – Saturday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: the singer will lead you through his wide repertoire of francophone songs
• DJ Kelly – Saturday, 3 pm to 7 pm: 90s-inspired rhythms will be perfect for Oktoberfest!

Don’t forget to visit Le Bièrologue, located near the Market, to celebrate their 12th anniversary! This 100% locavore specialty grocery featuring local beers, wines, ciders and terroirs has organized a little party that’s sure to complement Oktoberfest.
