Kids' Workshop: Learn How to Ferment Pickles
The Jean-Talon Market invites you to take part in a free workshop on pickle fermentation.
During this 1.5-hour workshop led by Ferment, discover the joy of making your own fermented pickles in a fun and accessible workshop for parents and children. Together, you’ll learn the basics of lacto-fermentation, the essential steps for making crisp and flavorful pickles, and a few simple tips for continuing the adventure at home.
To complete the experienceeach pair will leave with their own jar of fermented pickles and a better understanding of the wonderful world of live foods.
Ferment is a Montreal-based boutique specializing in artisanal fermentation in all its forms. In addition to offering specialized products, we regularly host workshops to teach the basics of fermentation to the curious and the passionate alike. The approach is friendly, accessible and rooted in the pleasure of discovering sustainable, local food practices.
Two 1h30-minute sessions are offered:
- 9 am to 10:30 am
- 10:30 am to 12 pm
