Urban agriculture workshop: discover edible flowers

Urban agriculture workshop: discover edible flowers

Marché Jean-Talon invites you to take part in a free workshop on Sunday June 15 at 1, 2 or 3 pm.

During this workshop, led by Chloé from Jardin de la Devinette, you'll discover the different varieties of edible flowers and transplant your favorite flower to decorate your summer dishes.

Flowers in the vegetable garden have many functions: not only do they bring color for the eyes and attract pollinators, but they can also be used to garnish your plate!

Three 45-minute sessions are offered:

  • 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
  • 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

All materials are included: a pot, edible flower plants, potting soil and tools.

Just bring your motivation to get your hands a little dirty.

Where will the workshop take place?

To get to the workshop, go to the event area north-west of the market, under one of the open-air marquees. For Google maps, click here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/r8NZu3WNmnJwTLNq6.
