Great news for local produce enthusiasts! The Montreal Public Markets network, in partnership with Hello Network, is launching a new prepaid gift card, making it easier than ever to support and buy local. 

Our new gift card will let you shop at all our markets, including Atwater, Jean-Talon, Maisonneuve, our Marchés de Quartier, and the Marchés Solidaires. It works like a prepaid VISA card, offering flexibility and a hassle-free shopping experience.By purchasing the Montréal Public Markets gift card, you support  your favorite producers and merchants who bring you the best of local produce. It’s reloadable and accepted at all markets in our network!

How and where can you get the Montreal public Markets gift card?

There are two ways to purchase the Montreal Public Markets gift card: 

• Online in just a few clicks
• In person at the administrative offices of the Atwater and Jean-Talon markets.

Choose an amount, add a personal message (optional), and complete your payment. You’ll receive a PDF confirmation to print or email, showing the gift card amount, your message, and activation instructions.  

The recipient can activate their gift card online via our Hello platform and receive a physical card by mail within 7 business days. If they already have a card, it will be instantly reloaded. Prefer to skip postal delays? They can exchange the printed confirmation for a card at the Atwater (3rd floor) or Jean-Talon (2nd floor) Market administrative offices. 

Don’t throw your card away after spending your balance. Top it up and keep supporting your local merchants!

Easy to use

Using the card is simple. Just present it directly at the payment terminal of participating merchants, as you would any other credit or debit card. Your purchases are hassle-free!

Hello Instant prepaid card

The Société des Marchés publics de Montréal gift card is made possible by a partnership with Hello Network, supplier of the Hello Instant prepaid card.

The gift card is pre-loaded onto a Hello Instantanée card. A monthly fee of $2.50 will be deducted from the pre-loaded gift card after 14 months of inactivity. If you send a request to the Société des Marchés publics de Montréal by e-mail at contact@marchespublics-mtl.com before the end of the 14th month, this fee can be charged after the 18th month. 

The card is non-refundable and non-returnable but is reloadable. Only Hello Network can add funds. It’s valid only at participating stores and cannot be used for cash withdrawals. Funds are not insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC). A $10 fee applies for card replacement.  

Transition from our paper gift certificates 

Still have a paper gift certificate? No problem! Merchants will accept them until the transition to the new card is fully complete.
