Apple Pie

An unmissable classic

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 apples
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and lemon zest

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Prepare the apples by cutting them into thin slices.
  3. Arrange the fruit in the pastry, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg, and dot with a few knobs of butter.
  4. Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of cold water.
  5. Brush the pastry with the whipped egg white.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for around 35 minutes.
