  • 250g tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise
  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme
  • 1 chopped garlic clove (remove the germ first)
Decoration and accompanying
  • 100 to 200g (one block) of cheddar or mozzarella cheese (for the little monsters' teeth)
  • 8 pitted green olives with chilli filling and 8 toothpicks (for the eyes)
  • Slices of sweet potato (to accompany)
  • 4 brioche buns or burger buns of your choice (to serve)

Preparation

For the meatballs and sauce :
  1. Mix all the ingredients for the dumplings by hand in a bowl.
  2. Form 8 to 10 patties (2 per burger)
  3. In a frying pan with a little olive oil or butter, cook over a medium heat.
  4. Halfway through cooking, when the meatballs are golden brown, add the tomato sauce and baste regularly. Finish cooking over a low heat until the sauce is reduced.
To decorate the little monsters:
  1. Cut the cheese into 8-10 triangles to make the teeth (thickness of your choice).
  2. Cut the olives into thick slices.
For assembly :
  1. Toast the burger buns (optional).
  2. Place the sauce and meatballs on the bottom bun.
  3. Prick the olives, then pierce the top bun of the burger and add the triangle cheese on the bottom of the toothpick. Place on top of the meatballs.
  4. For the side dish: slice the sweet potatoes, season to taste and bake for 20 minutes at 300F.
