Home-made Vanilla Extract

A little gourmet home-made gift very simple to do!
Ingredients
- 6 vanilla beans, sliced in half lengthwise
- Dark rum or vodka (to taste, depending on the size of the container used)
Preparation
- Place the vanilla beans in a glass container.
- Add enough dark rum or vodka to cover ¾ of the vanilla beans.
- Let it infuse for 2 to 3 months in a dark place.
- Add to your favourite desserts for a touch of vanilla!
