The Walls Are Down at Your Public Markets

All news

The Walls Are Down at Your Public Markets
It’s done! The enclosure walls at the Atwater and Jean Talon markets have been taken down and put away and the markets are now officially open to the great outdoors! Our market gardeners and horticulturists are waiting for you!

Awaken Your Inner Gardener!

As you wander through the outside aisles of the public markets, where your producers and merchants have set up their stalls, you’ll be greeted by the scent of flowers, basil and other typical market odours.

Their vast selection of herbs, flowers, leafy plants and accessories are guaranteed to answer all your gardening needs. Ask our horticulturists about growing a successful vegetable garden or a colourful flower-filled balcony. Plant trimming, repotting… they’ll be pleased to give you their advice.

Are you familiar with our neighbourhood and flower markets?

Need flowers? How about lunch or a snack? Some fruit and vegetables? Our neighbourhood and flower markets welcome you from the first warm days up to the first frosts.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is the perfect occasion to offer your mom a bouquet of flowers or a beautiful plant. Roses, lilies, chrysanthemums… what to choose? Our florists are ready for you with their ideas and good advice.

For Mother’s Day, take part in our Facebook contest and our draw, at Jean-Talon Market, and get the chance to win tickets to the new Big Top Show “VOLTA”*.

*Show: Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 8 :00PM – Montreal Old Port

And finally, here’s a gourmet tip: freeze nasturtium flowers in ice cubes—a perfect accompaniment to your cocktails on the patio this summer!
