For 1/2 ham
- 1 beer or 1 ½ of 7up
- 3/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1/2 cup of molasses
- 2 teaspoons of black pepper
Steps to follow :
- Preheat the oven to 300F.
- Place the ham in an oven-safe dish and add the beer or 7up.
- Pour the maple syrup on the ham, followed by the molasses.
- Cover well and cook in the oven for 3 hours.
- Use a fork to check the cooking status : the meat should detach from the bone.
- Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
