Culinary workshops for the little ones
Jean-Talon Market is inviting little chefs aged 3 and over to cook together with their families at a free monthly culinary workshop on the market’s events zone, located to the north-west of the market.
Your ticket will give you priority access to the workshop. We recommend that you arrive early to make sure you get in. If you haven’t been able to book your ticket and you’re coming to the market, come and see us in the events zone – we’re keeping a few places available.
The 30-minute workshops start every hour between 1pm and 3pm.
Saturday, September 21, 2024 – Tabbouleh surprise
Jean-Talon Market invites little chefs to cook up the perfect recipe to celebrate harvest time: a succulent Tabbouleh surprise… Can they guess which vegetables they’re going to use? This cooking workshop is a great opportunity to discover how to cook a wide variety of vegetables.
The activity is aimed at little chefs aged 3 and over. All children are welcome. Don’t hesitate to let C’est moi le chef! know about your child’s particular challenges.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to confirm your participation. Tickets not confirmed 5 minutes before the start of the workshops will be offered to market visitors.

Jean-Talon Market invites young chefs to cook up a fresh meal in this workshop on watermelon pokebol. In addition to discovering this very refreshing dish, little chefs will be able to discover an original way to enjoy watermelon.
June 8th, 2024 – Quebec strawberries tiramisu
Jean-Talon Market invites young chefs to celebrate the arrival of Quebec strawberries by cooking a delicious strawberry tiramisu. In addition to discovering this delicious dessert, little chefs will be making vanilla yogurt whipped cream and strawberry coulis.
May 18th, 2024 – Spring pasta salad with Quebec asparagus.
Jean-Talon Market is inviting young chefs to celebrate spring by cooking up a spring pasta salad with Quebec asparagus. What better way to celebrate spring than with asparagus? As well as discovering this fabulous vegetable, the Little Chefs will be preparing a tasty, crunchy pasta salad!
April 20, 2024 – Veggie Guédilles
Jean-Talon Market is inviting little chefs to celebrate spring by revisiting the traditional recipe for Guédilles. The little chefs will be preparing tasty vegan Guédilles. Can they guess which vegetables they’re going to use to fill their hot dog buns?
March 7th 2024 – Boston Lettuce roll and wafu sauce
For the Winter Break holiday, the little chefs will have fun creating delicious, colorful spring rolls! And to awaken your taste buds, they will prepare a delicious homemade Wafu sauce. Great discoveries in perspective
