Jean-Talon Market will be holding its
2nd edition of
La Foire des vins et cidres d’ici on August 12 and 13. This not-to-be-missed event will be the perfect opportunity to discover new vineyards and cideries and fill up your cellars in the process.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Quebec wine and cider lovers will be able to discover talented producers, discover new vintages and learn more about their products. As well as stocking up on exclusive vintages, visitors will be able to attend a series of free conferences on wine and cider on Saturday August 12 and tasting workshops on Sunday August 13.
The lectures will be given free of charge by industry professionals and hosted by Geneviève Vézina-Montplaisir of Caribou magazine.
Admission to the event is free, and tasting glasses cost $5. Tastings cost $2 to $5, at the discretion of the wineries and cideries.

Les Lauriers de la Gastronomie Québécoise, a partner of this year’s Marché Jean-Talon event, will be offering wine and cider tasting workshops on Sunday, August 13, hosted by Christine Plante, who will be welcoming Caroline Beaulieu, sommelier at Légende par Tanière3, and François-Emmanuel Nicol, chef at Tanière3. They’ll be presenting and offering free tastings of tasty bites paired with wines or ciders from the Fair’s participating producers, to delight your taste buds!
Both are the latest winners of the Sommelier of the Year and Chef of the Year awards at the Lauriers de la Gastronomie Québécoise Gala, a prestigious event honouring the best of Quebec’s culinary industry.

The Jean-Talon Market event is presented by Les Lauriers de la Gastronomie Québécoise in partnership with Producteurs de cidre du Québec.
