Since 2022, the Montreal Public Markets have been organizing major celebrations during the month of March to mark the maple sugar season and highlight the world-renowned expertise of our artisan maple producers!

We look forward to seeing you again in 2025 to fill up on maple classics and make full of discoveries. In the meantime, here’s a look back at the 2024 edition.

A look back at the previous event

On Sunday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., maple syrup will flow freely at Maisonneuve Market during the sweet and festive feasts and you don’t want to miss it ! 

This year again, join us to celebrate maple sugar season at the Market! Throughout the day, inside and outside, be ready to taste a host of maple-based products prepared for the festivities by your favorite merchants and guest businesses. This gathering will feature festive live music and lots of entertainment, including axe throwing and inflatable games.

A series of tastings of maple products and a sugar shack menu

You will be tantalized by a series of tastings of delicious gourmet products prepared by Maisonneuve Market merchants and guest businesses, including maple-smoked salmon, sugar tarts and maple cretons in addition to classic taffy on snow and maple-based spirits.

New this year, two producers of maple-based alcohol will also join the party to offer samples of their innovative products. A unique opportunity to meet these talented producers, taste their products and learn more about their techniques. 

A sugar shack menu including pea soup, mulled wine and grilled maple sausages will also be available in the outdoor area. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate maple sugar season and meet local producers without leaving the city. With performances by singer-songwriter Alexandre Légaré and DJ Mathieu Beauchemin, it’s going to be quite the celebration!
